· serve as Barnard’s inaugural chief diversity officer, reporting to the president and serving as a valued member of her senior staff;
· create and lead the College’s office of diversity, equity, and inclusion;
· provide strategic and visionary leadership in promoting an institutional culture that values diversity and supports inclusive excellence;
· lead Barnard’s efforts in realizing its bold ambition to become a national model for inclusive excellence and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary and transformative thought leader, an accomplished strategist, administrator, and community builder who has significant experience and a track record of successfully advancing diversity, inclusion, and positive change in complex communities and/or mission-driven organizations.
